Jeans, it's a sickness.

"I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans; the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity-all I hope for in my clothes." - Yves Saint Laurent

So a co-worker asked me to count the numbers of shoes, jeans, shirts, etc that I have in my closet. The jean count came to 50+ pairs of jeans. This means I could wear a different pair every Saturday for the entire year and not repaeat the same pair once! I told you I was ill. I'll break them down by style genre and give you a few starters for places to find them:ook: For casual I prefer True Religions, Hudsons or any lighter pair of Citizens of Humanity. They all compliment the tukus beautifully. Hudsons are great if you want to avoid the "muffin top" because they seem to have quite a bit of stretch to them, especially in the waistband. These are all great with casual t-shir vest and if they are skinnies you can tuck them into a pair of slouchy boots and they are muy bueno. I'd say these are my go-to jeans for most casual days.

Dressier: If you prefer to dress it up a little maybe go for a darker wash Seven jean or darker boot cut Citizens of Humanity. I prefer mine a little long so I can wear them with heels or wedges and a dressier shirt or sweater.

A few other favorites to try: A few other brands I've had luck with are TAG, MEK, Lucky, William Rast and Salt.

Places to buy: The best place I've found to score designer jeans on the cheap is Loehmanns. If you haven't been there, put down your soda, step away from the computer and speed race to the nearest one. Seriously, shopping heaven is what I'd use to describe this place. When I die, I want to go to Loehmanns. Nordstrom also carries a wide selection of most of the designer brands, but you are going to pay full price. If you have a Nordstrom Rack nearby they usually run about $99/pair there. I've also scored some amazing pairs from TJ Maxx and Marshall's, but you really have to dig to find them there and they are really hit or miss on the sizes. There are also a plethora of online sites that sell. I find the downfall with online shopping is there is no opportunity to try them on before you commit to buying, and returning mail order is just a huge pain in my opinion.
